The priority here is to make the prosthesis look as real as possible. Silicon House - a product line that recreates the natural colour and form in painstaking detail. Customised fingernails are the final detail components that perfect the fingers' overall appearance. Fingernails made of acrylic have an advantage over silicone in that they can be painted. Partial hand prostheses Partial hand prostheses are used for hands that were amputated in the knuckle or metacarpus area. Partial hand prostheses also blend in naturally and harmoniously with the overall physical appearance. The elasticity of the silicone allows the wearer to pull the prosthesis on and off easily, without having to handle bothersome zippers. Thanks to the translucent and tear-resistant characteristics of the material, the extremely thin transitions to the healthy part of the hand can be custom coloured. Silicone cosmetic covers are more dirt resistant than conventional PVC cosmetic gloves. They can be easily washed with soap and water or sterilised with hot water in case of contamination.
