Wear your prosthesis two to three times longer than before without changing the battery!

The 757B20 and 757B21 Otto Bock EnergyPacks with lithium-ion technology offer two to three times the capacity of conventional 757B8 Otto Bock Nickel-Cadmium Batteries during almost the entire lifespan of the EnergyPack.

Compared with NiCd batteries, the new 757B20 and 757B21 EnergyPacks offer lower self-discharge, higher cell voltage and higher energy density.

The Li-ion technology provides a higher capacity and has no memory effect - and that virtually throughout the entire lifespan of the EnergyPacks! In addition, the technology allows for a significantly shorter charging time. The integrated light displays the remaining capacity if needed. EnergyPacks also offer increased safety thanks to the integrated electronic protection circuit which automatically turns the batteries off in case of a short-circuit.

The batteries will also turn off automatically during charging if a determined voltage is surpassed. This protects the EnergyPacks from overcharging. The 757B21 EnergyPack is approximately one third shorter and lighter than the 757B20 EnergyPack and is therewith particularly suitable for patients who have long residual limbs or who are sensitive in regard to the prosthesis weight.

The integrated battery management effectively prevents a sudden crash of the Li-ion batteries. The battery management controls the hand during discharge similarly to conventional NiCd systems: The hand becomes increasingly slower and weaker. A last opening allows for the grip to be released before the system shuts down. An effective, secure, and present yet inconspicuous feedback system.
