While both knees have the same style of braking mechanism, swing phase in the 3R90 is friction controlled and includes a mechanical extension assist, making it the perfect choice for those users who need more stability. Swing phase in the 3R92, on the other hand, is controlled by a dual chamber pneumatic cylinder, and is ideal for users who can vary their gait pattern.
