With the Free Walk orthosis, patients can again walk normally during the swing phase. The patient can bend her/his leg and will require less energy while walking. The Free Walk can also be released manually, e.g. for sitting down or getting out of the car. During the stance phase, the knee joint is locked. Free Walk orthoses are pre-fabricated according to individual patient measurements. They are particularly light, narrow and stable and are hardly noticeable under clothing. The pads are made of skin-friendly material that increase the wearing comfort and protect the clothing.
