It is suitable both for indoor and outdoor use and is notable for its high load capacity (up to 110 kg). As the seat inclination is pivoted at the far front, the Discovery is easy to operate even with a heavy seating system or patient load. The frontal pivot point also allows the Discovery to edge up closely to objects, such as tables, even in tilted position. In most cases, the user will be able to stand up and sit down independently and won't need to be lifted back into the wheelchair. The chassis can be easily tilted by activating the gas compression springs with the large release lever. The seat depth can be adjusted by moving the entire backrest along the seat bars. The angle of the backrest is also ratchet adjustable. Seating systems and seating shells are mounted with interface adapters. A choice of several interface adapters are available. The adapter is screwed onto the seat bars in a relation to seat edge and backrest that best suits the respective user. The anterior frame is abducted in the caster area, offering ample space for various footrest assemblies. Important options such as armrests, anti-tipper and tip-assist complete the product range.
